A E Stoodley & Son will provide the following Simple Funeral Service as specified by the Code of Practice of the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF):
Professional Services
Receiving instructions in connection with the funeral.
Providing all relevant advice, guidance, making arrangements and conducting the funeral.
Removal
Bringing the deceased into our care (within a 10 mile radius) within normal office hours.
Hearse
Providing our hearse and funeral director for a service at Yeovil Crematorium or local Cemetery/churchyard.
Coffin
Providing a Traditional “oak-effect” coffin.
The cost of the Simple Funeral Service is £1,895* + Third Party Fees, to be paid in full prior to the funeral taking place.
Where this Simple Funeral takes place at Yeovil Crematorium, the following third-party fees will apply:
- Crematorium fee £893.00
- Doctors fees for cremation certificates £82.00
- Celebrant/Minister’s fee £220.00 approx
This Simple Funeral Service is specified to provide a straightforward, affordable funeral, and as such there are a number of services that are EXCLUDED from this arrangement. These exclusions include, but are not limited to:
Viewing the deceased in the Chapel of Rest (viewing may be added to the Simple Funeral Service in which case a surcharge of £75 will apply). Please note that no further additions may be made to the Simple Funeral Service.
- Providing Orders of Service.
- Listing of names and placing funeral reports in local newspapers.
- Handling of charity donations.
- Extension of credit with regard to payment of the funeral.
